Immediately following worship, join us in Old Fellowship Hall (across from the Sanctuary) for coffee, snacks and good conversation.
St. John serves people in Elwood with our End of Month Meal Ministry. The dedicated volunteer team prepares and delivers 550+ meals once each month.
The next meal is Saturday, May 25. If you need a meal delivered and live in Elwood or wish to pick up a meal, please call the church at 765-552-6125 between 9 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 25th.
We welcome volunteers to help cook on Friday, the 24th, and package/deliver on Saturday, the 25th. If you are interested in helping out, please call the church at 765-552-6125 and leave a message.
St. John's Bible Study meets on Fridays, 1:00 p.m., in the Old Fellowship Hall during the academic year. The current study is based on the three Scripture readings designated for the following Sunday's worship service.

Sarah Williams, graduate of both St. Olaf College and Indiana University School of Music, leads the congregation in music on our small but mighty Wicks organ.
The combined Our Blessed Savior and St John Choir brings special music monthly to each congregation and practices on Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of Our Blessed Savior, 309 W. Washington St., Alexandria, IN 46001.
Many thanks to everyone who worked to make the Spring Market a success - the planning committee, the vendors, all the various volunteers, musicians and, most importantly, everyone who attended!
There will be a de-brief meeting after worship on Sunday, June 2.
In the Narthex between the entrances to the Sanctuary and the Old Fellowship Hall is a red basket for items to support the Elwood Food Pantry.
This is another way to serve our neighbors in need. Please bring in an item or two regularly and help fill the basket.
Sunday, October 6 is our joint worship service and church picnic with our sister congregation, Lutheran Church of Our Blessed Savior, at Pastor Kal and Debbie's home (a.k.a. "The Ponderosa").
We are accepting contributions to host the "Mountain Laurel Bluegrass Band" during this event. Please look for a basket in the narthex to contribute towards the band.
St. John has a garden with plots available to anyone in the community. The ground is tilled and plots are marked. If you have a plot, it is now open for business! Happy gardening!
If you are interested in a plot, please call the church office at 765-552-6125 and leave a message with your contact information.
Our Wednesday Garden Suppers will resume June 5, 6:00 p.m. with a hot dog cookout. Hot dogs will be furnished and we ask that attendees bring side dishes or desserts to share.
Following the opening cookout, the Wednesday suppers will be bring-your-own food for fellowship outdoors under the shelter, weather permitting, or in the New Fellowship Hall.
